Reflections 2024-2025 Update
2024-25 National PTSA Reflections art competition
Thank you to our ten KMS artists who submitted entries for the 2024-25 annual Reflections art competition. Each of our participating KMS students received a treat and a Colt card. Aram Shiva's name was drawn for the grand prize. All students were entered into district competition and we are excited to announce that FOUR of our KMS students will be moving on to state competition! Congratulations to Aram Shiva (music composition), and Gianna Smuda, Sasha Guerrero, and Camden Phelps (visual arts). Anyone is welcome to drop by the NSD Art Reception on Saturday Jan 11, from 4-7 at Brightwater Center, to see the art gallery and sample refreshments from the BHS culinary department.

Participation is organized by student age and grade levels. Student works are critiqued against others in the same grade division. This allows recognition and judging of artworks by appropriate developmental age and skill levels. The grade divisions are:
Primary: Pre-school – Grade 2
Intermediate: Grades 3 – 5
Middle School: Grades 6 – 8
High School: Grades 9 – 12
(For special artist information, see Accessible Arts)
Entries are judged on creative ability and interpretation of the theme.
